Two adults reading a mystery together on a laptop at home

An online murder mystery game for couples or friends.

Both of you are investigators. You see the same evidence on one shared screen; you do not need to play a character or keep secrets from each other. The interesting part is discovering where your explanations differ.

  1. Read a record together. Start with the briefing, then open messages, accounts and documents. Take turns reading aloud if you enjoy it.
  2. Say what you noticed. Each offer a theory before agreeing on an answer. Point to the detail that supports it, and let the other person challenge it.
  3. Build your case. Compare records, keep notes and revisit earlier clues. Optional hints help when you want a direction.

Swap control of the screen as you go. A laptop or tablet between you gives each person room to read and contribute. There is no enforced timer.

Will it suit your evening?

Can just two people play a murder mystery?

Yes. When You Hear My Voice gives both players the complete investigation. No host, extra guests or assigned suspect roles are needed. One purchase covers one or two people sharing a screen.

Is this a printable murder mystery party kit?

The case runs in your browser. There is nothing to print, no costume preparation and no party script to perform. You solve the story through its evidence and questions.

Can we play on separate devices?

The two-player setup uses one shared screen in the same room. There is no remote multiplayer or synchronised separate-screen mode.

Is it suitable for a date night?

If you both enjoy reading mysteries and comparing theories, it gives you something to solve together. Read the content note before choosing: When You Hear My Voice includes coercive control and intimate-partner abuse. Try the free mystery to see how you like the format.

Can we pause?

Yes. Check the in-game save status, then return on the same device and browser. Progress saves locally when browser storage is available; it does not sync between devices.
